Classification: Full-Time Term until March 31, 2025 - Monday – Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Location: 445 King Street
Starting Salary: Subject to Qualifications/Experience
Background: The incumbent will manage the intake process for participants in our programs.
This role involves assessing potential participants, gathering necessary documentation, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social services, a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.Previous experience in program intake, case management, or a similar role.Must have superior assessment skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of community resources and social services is a plus.Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining an effective working relationship with Indigenous and non-Indigenous, non-mandated organizations.Knowledge of the Manitoba Child and Family Services Act.Strong understanding of community capacity-building models of practice.Strong motivational and leadership skills.Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with staff, other agencies, and the public.Community service oriented to meet needs in a timely, conscientious manner effectively.A team player/facilitator to encourage an environment that fosters effective team results.Be respectful in engaging people and building helping relationships.Flexible to respond effectively and positively in diverse relationships.Be confident and positive and engage families in helping the relationship process or supporting, motivating, and encouraging others to make positive choices.Maintain a high level of independence and self-initiative.Subject to a Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry, and Prior Contact Checks.All letters of interest and resumes must be received before 4:00 p.m., January 2, 2025.
