About the role This is a permanent part-time opportunity working 3 days / week (21 hours), based at Uniting's Counselling and Mediation program in Wollongong. Available to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Uniting has a long history of high-quality service delivery, being well regarded, and connected with family law stakeholders. As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP), you'll provide FDR to families post-separation who are experiencing various levels of conflict and are unable to reach agreements about children or property. Online video appointments, legally-assisted mediation, and child inclusive practice are examples of Uniting's innovative FDR practices. You will be working with a dynamic team of FDRPs and therapists to support families holistically.

About You Accredited by the Australian Attorney-General's Department (AGD) as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, or eligible for accreditation. Applicants who are unsure of eligibility should contact the AGD Practitioner Accreditation Unit. Uniting will require evidence of eligibility. Tertiary qualifications in law, psychology or social work. An understanding of the process and purpose of child inclusive mediation practice. Knowledge of family law legislation. Knowledge and understanding of community services, especially those relating to families experiencing relationship difficulties. Understanding of child protection issues. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as contribute to the functioning of the team. Excellent communication, organisation and writing skills. Computer literacy.
