The Role Applications are now invited from suitably qualified candidates keen to be considered for appointment as a Family and Relationship Counsellor.
Note – This role is based in our Traralgon office .
Whilst we are open to discussing flexible work/hybrid arrangements, presence on site at Traralgon is a requirement of the role.
The appointee is responsible for providing short-term counselling for individuals, adolescents, couples and families.
In doing so, the appointee will work closely with Better Place Australia colleagues in developing a coordinated and integrated approach to assisting clients to resolve relationship difficulties effectively.
Essential Requirements To be considered for this role, prospective candidates will need to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the effects of conflict on families and relationships together with knowledge and experience in brief therapy approaches and conflict resolution approaches.
Experience in working with couples, families and individuals in a therapeutic and/or short-term counselling context.
Experience in dealing with relationship issues, parenting issues and complex family dynamics.
Membership or eligibility of membership with ACA (level 2 or above), PACFA, AASW or PBA.
Candidates with mediation experience with adolescents and parents will be well regarded.
