Meli is hiring full-time and part-time Family and Community Engagement Workers in the Greater Geelong area. In these ongoing roles, you'll support families with children aged 0-12 in communities that benefit from additional resourcing. Through our Connect Up Program, you may work within community hubs, kindergartens, schools, and other universal service platforms, helping to build strong connections between families and support networks.
In this role, you may work on enhancing parent-child relationships, strengthening social connections, and facilitating group programs like supported playgroups and parenting support. By collaborating with community partners, you'll also improve referral pathways and provide secondary consultations to other professionals, helping create a responsive, community-centered approach to family support.
The key objectives of this role are:
Strengthen parent-child relationships and boost parental involvement in early childhood development through targeted programs and support.Enhance social connections for families by facilitating group programs such as supported playgroups and parent peer support initiatives.Collaborate with community partners to improve referral pathways, ensuring families can access health, welfare, and community services seamlessly.Provide secondary consultation and support to education staff and other professionals, promoting an integrated, community-focused approach to family support.Salary: $97,614 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging (pro-rata for part-time position).

About YouTo be successful in the role, you will have:
