We are seeking a Family and Community Engagement Coordinator (Identified) to join our school's vibrant team. In this role, you will serve as a bridge between the school, students' families, and the broader community, fostering a culture of trust, inclusion, and shared purpose. This position is offered on a temporary full-time basis until 12 December 2025 unless otherwise determined.

About The RoleAs the Family and Community Engagement Coordinator you will:
Enhance community and family integration within the school ensuring effective partnerships and support networks as a means of increasing attendance through the Student Wellbeing and Attendance project.Identify and understand the influences of non-attendance and develop and implement strategies to address non-attendance, enhancing the likelihood of students attending regularly.Responsibilities IncludeUndertake extensive liaison activities, incorporating ongoing research and analysis of issues relevant to student wellbeing and attendance at the school.Build and sustain positive trusting relationships with students, parents, community and elders, and provide input into local decision ensuring optimum outcomes for vulnerable and at-risk students and their families.Provide data analysis, and prepare reports and submissions on the student wellbeing and attendance project, progress, performance and expenditure.Mandatory Requirements for an Identified RoleIt is a genuine occupational requirement for Identified roles that the position be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.
