Families Pastor

Families Ministry Pastor at Riverwood Baptist Church Riverwood Baptist is an evangelical Christian church in the southern suburbs of Sydney. We are a multi-lingual church meeting in 3 spoken languages – English, Cantonese, Mandarin – but with a common Children's Ministry in English.

About the role We are seeking a godly Christian person who can lead and develop a team of church members to teach kids the gospel message and grow young disciples of Christ.

The role is part-time for 3-4 days per week (including Sunday morning), beginning in 2025. The role may suit someone who needs a flexible working arrangement.

Main Responsibilities Recruiting, supporting and training a leadership team; Overseeing our Children and Teens ministries on Sundays with that team; Working with other pastors to develop relationships with children and their parents so that the gospel impacts the lives of whole families; Investigating and developing ways of reaching families for Christ in our local area (e.g. holiday clubs, playgroups). Requirements A personal faith in Christ, an understanding of and commitment to the gospel of Jesus found in the Bible, and some experience teaching children. Ongoing training would also be an important part of the role and would be supported by the Senior Pastor.

The specific responsibilities of the role are negotiable depending on the skills and interests of the successful applicant. For example, there is potential for involvement in other ministries e.g. youth ministry, or adult congregations.

A remuneration package in line with the NSW Baptist Association guidelines will be tailored to suit the skills, experience and qualifications of the successful applicant.
