Families Building Connections PractitionerThe Families Building Connections Practitioner delivers the Adolescent Building Connections program to young people who are currently or at risk of using violence in the home.
The educational focus is on developing an understanding of the impacts of family violence and gender inequality that is adolescent-led and family-focused.
The practitioner will support the young people to enhance their emotional intelligence, emotional regulation, and effective and positive communication in relationships.
The aim is to reduce adolescent violence in the home and provide strengthened family connections for a positive future where children and young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver the ABC group-based Program and ABC Plus program to the relevant client groups and contextual settings.Provide a safe environment for adolescents who use or are at risk of using violence.Support the young people and their family unit to build strong and positive connections.Utilise the Advantaged Thinking model when providing a contemporary coaching approach to case management.Ensure a collaborative approach to the delivery of support to young people and their families.Participate in an On Call Roster and provide Extended Afterhours Work as required.Benefits – What Quantum offers: Job Security – .7EFT (26.6 hrs pw) | Fixed Term to 30/6/2025

The Ideal Candidate - What you will bring: Demonstrated understanding of the impacts of Family Violence with a particular focus on adolescent family violence in the home.Experience working effectively with adolescents presenting with high risk and difficult behaviours.Knowledge and understanding of the Advantaged Thinking model.Valid Victorian Driver's Licence | Working with Children Check | Police Check.Minimum requirement of Diploma of Community Services or other relevant qualifications appropriate to the field.About Quantum Support Services: Established in 1987, we are Industry Leaders striving to provide services to positively improve lives within the Gippsland community.
