As the Faculty Manager , you will be responsible for: Establishing and implementing strategies to support the professional standing and overall educational effectiveness of the Region. Maintaining accountability for all delivery and business outcomes within the faculty and developing strategic direction in line with national and state agendas, as well as identifying and pursuing opportunities for the faculty training products and services. Participating as a senior member of the management team and remaining focused on determining and achieving the Region's strategic objectives.

This position contributes to the overall educational performance of the Region and reports to the Director - Education Delivery, Trades & Transport. This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity. The position will be based primarily at either the Cairns or Townsville campus; however, you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses. Key Responsibilities

Leading the development and management of operational plans including approved delivery hours, performance variations, revenue and expenditure budgets, staffing budgets, and financial year delivery plans. Utilising all available research and modelling tools in order to analyse data and examine market/policy and industry trends to assist in forecasting future business potential. Analysing TAFE Queensland strategic policies and developing strategies to implement these within the Region. Developing strategic and business plans involving the effective and efficient management of financial, human, physical, and intellectual resources. Approving significant deviations from approved costing models to meet market, social, and/or political agendas. Fostering innovation and developing strategies to manage the product cycle and implementing new products as required according to industry demand. Developing and maintaining partnerships with relevant professional associations, other educational institutions, government departments, industry, and commercial organisations. Planning and implementing business improvement and innovation strategies, and business and service level agreement planning and development in conjunction with the Directors of work streams. Maintaining accountability for the overall policy standards within the Region that relate to Vocational Education and Training (VET) delivery ensuring the highest standard of student learning and client satisfaction. Directly managing, leading, and motivating staff within the delivery team – encompassing performance development; monitoring professional development activities; recruitment and selection; and resolving industrial relations issues. Continuously promoting new ways of improving efficiency by reducing cost and enhancing outcomes. Providing leadership on individual and team performance and future goals. Managing communication and actively engaging with industry, business, and the community.

Highly Desirable Requirements

A passionate leader to complement our existing workforce. Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business or Management, or a qualification of a discipline relevant to the role. Industry experience at a senior level. Proven past performance in developing and managing high-performing teams, stakeholder management, and a high level of independent judgment. Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to develop strong relationships across the organisation and with key internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to positively influence outcomes.
