The Property Management branch develops and implements a holistic approach to the management of Council's property portfolio to ensure that the use of the property assets are optimised, centrally managed and supports Council's objectives.
The Facility Officer will contribute to developing and maintaining building and facility assets, in accordance with current Council's Goal, Australian Standards, Building Codes and Regulations.
Key Duties: Deliver the maintenance scheduling requirements of a suite of building and facility assets owned and operated by Sunshine Coast Council (SCC). Manage and maintain the accuracy of the Property Management Branch building portfolio maintenance schedule. Provide accurate and continuous building assets maintenance data to the Property Management Contract Administrator to ensure the Contract Cost Planner remains current and accurate for budget forecasting requirements. Assist and contribute to identifying technical issues through asset condition inspections and data analysis. This position is based in Sunshine Coast City Hall, in the heart of Maroochydore CBD. This state-of-the-art and sustainable building is designed to achieve an innovative and collaborative workspace.
About You: As a Facility Officer, you will have knowledge in asset management, condition assessments, statutory maintenance requirements, maintenance planning and scheduling, and/or building and facility maintenance.
You will possess substantial relevant experience with interpreting and applying the Codes, regulations and standards across a diverse asset base, with demonstrated understanding and experience managing safety and performance of contracted works.
You will have strong technical problem-solving capability with demonstrated ability to investigate and identify causes to technical problems and map resolutions.
As a requirement of this role, you will possess Trade qualification (electrical, plumbing, building, BMS systems, security or other relevant qualification), Certificate IV in Project Management, and/or substantial demonstrated relevant experience.
