Facility Cook | Permanent Part Time | The Gracewood Centre About BaptistCare The Gracewood Centre The Gracewood Centre features convenient onsite amenities including a café, landscaped gardens and covered terraces, chapel, hair salon, therapy spa, library, electric BBQs, and a private function room for family gatherings.
The facility offers 96 general care rooms and 32 secure dementia care rooms, comfortably furnished with ample storage, quality fittings, built-in ceiling hoists, free Wi-Fi, and SMART TVs.
As a purpose-built aged care facility, the latest technology has been included to ensure residents are well looked after.
Our team of professional staff, chaplains, and volunteers are dedicated to delivering the best possible care to residents, with 24-hour access to registered nurses.
About the role Our team is seeking a Part-Time Cook who will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of food and service to our valued residents through the preparation of quality ingredients and the delivery of wholesome cooked meals.

Cooking to a BaptistCare rotating menu, you will prepare all meals including breakfasts, lunches, and dinners; therefore, availability to work AM and PM shifts is essential.
We are offering 30 hours per fortnight Duties may include: Enabling residents to live well by delivering tasteful, well-presented, nutritious mealsCreating, supervising, and preparing menusSupervising to ensure correct procedures and kitchen practices meet BaptistCare HACCP Food Safety Plan standardsSkills & experience Experience working in a busy commercial kitchenWorking knowledge of Food Safety Guidelines (HACCP)An understanding of IDDSSI and texture-modified foods is an advantageCertificate III in Commercial Cookery/HospitalityAbout Us BaptistCare is a leading for-purpose Christian-based care organisation that supports thousands of people across more than 100 locations in NSW, ACT, and WA.
