Seeking an enthusiastic candidate to provide high level facility administration, ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the Valley Park Community Centre is undertaken and delivered.
What you'll be doing: Ensure effective and efficient day-to-day administration of the Valley Park Community Centre as per the Operational Manual and associated procedures.Ensure the facility is maintained and well presented to a high standard and any maintenance and cleaning issues are dealt with promptly through liaison with the appropriate department.Administer the centre's booking system, including point of contact enquiries and administration of accounting processes.Compile reports and prepare external correspondence as delegated by the Community Centre Leader.Utilise databases to support data collection of facility users and the creation of reports. Work in collaboration with the Community Centre Leader to ensure the facility is an accessible, inclusive and well activated space.Work independently, taking responsibility for the facility and problem solving as required.Participate in an afterhours/weekend on call roster to respond to any facility hirer emergency issues.Manage customer service requests, complaints, general enquiries and transactions (where appropriate).Help promote and support the participation of a wide range of community and centre tenants in the facility and Council programs through collaborative approaches.The skills and experience you'll bring to the role: Relevant qualification and/or considerable administration/reception and customer service experience in the community sector.Demonstrated experience, understanding and commitment to community development practice and principles.Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in written form to a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures with an ability to write reports and to prepare external correspondence.Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives within set timeframes, set priorities and plan and organise own work.Expertise in using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and various Council software applications including Finance One, OpenCities, Indesign and TRIM.Demonstrated capacity to manage facility booking systems and associated processes e.g. Bookable or similar.To apply for this position please click in the "Apply" button below.
