About the role
We're looking for a proactive individual with strong observational skills and the ability to escalate incidents swiftly.
The Facility Access Officer is a vital role responsible for overseeing and facilitating access to the site for visitors and contractors.
As the first point of contact, they play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and secure entry and exit process.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing surveillance camera systems and fire alarm systems to ensure the safety and security of our premises during Afternoon and Night shifts.
Key Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•Be the first point of contact for all site visitors and contractors.
• Answering the Mildura Security phone.
• Operating the entry and exit boom gates.
• Arranging swipe cards for visitors.
• Escorting visitors and contractors to tea and boardroom facilities and notifying their site contact.
• Enter and/or edit visitor details in the visitor logbook system.
• Supervise and operate CCTV cameras to ensure continuous surveillance of premises.
• Review footage and identify suspicious activities or safety hazards.
• Document and report any incidents or irregularities observed on camera.
• Monitor fire alarm systems for any signs of malfunction or activation.
• Respond promptly to fire alarm activations, following established protocols.
• Quickly assess situations and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
• Maintain clear and concise communication with security and emergency responders.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding security and fire safety.
• Prompt escalation of all OHS and Security events/issues.
About you
Qualifications/Licences
• Current First Aid certificate.
• Pre-employment Security and Health Screening.
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must show initiative and be proactive in problem-solving and process improvement.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong observational skills.
