Our team in Melbourne has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities / Maintenance Technician to join the team on a permanent basis.
In this role, you'll step into the team and play an integral role in servicing our Zap, Fitness First, and Goodlife Health Clubs in and around Melbourne to ensure the facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard, providing both a safe and functional environment for our members and team.
In this Facilities Technician position, you will have the opportunity to build strong working relationships and rapport with our club managers as their first point of contact for all maintenance activities.
This is a fast-paced environment where no two days will be the same.
One day you will attend assigned clubs to complete logged maintenance jobs based on a priority basis.
On another day, you could be fixing a piece of gym equipment in the morning and patching a wall or changing a light fixture at another club that afternoon.

Key duties and responsibilities: Carry out general maintenance around the club, repairing a large array of fitness equipment, painting, building, and planned maintenance. Ensure all logged maintenance jobs are followed up and completed in a timely manner. Equipment removal and re-installation. Document and maintain maintenance records and hazard identification, reporting any incidents or near misses through WHS systems. Provide essential service audits and work with suppliers regarding warranties and ordering spare parts. To be successful in this role you will: Be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding role. Have effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and a natural ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Have strong organisational and prioritisation skills and be comfortable working autonomously. Be confident managing and coordinating external contractors. Have a passion for the fitness industry and a willingness to learn. Skills/experience: Experience as a Facilities / Maintenance Technician. Experience maintaining and working from a maintenance log system such as ServiceNow. Australian driver's license and clean driving record. Experience repairing gym equipment.
