About the OPPORTUNITY We have a new opportunity for a Facilities Services Planner to join our Shipyard Infrastructure and Services Team based in Osborne, SA.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.
Reporting to the Asset Management Specialist, the Facilities Services Planner is responsible for undertaking a wide variety of tasks for maintaining shipyard infrastructure and assets aimed at providing preventative maintenance planning relating to new and existing assets including the operation of the asset management system in the shipyard.
Key responsibilities include: Provision of planning information, and loading assets into the asset management system so that preventative maintenance can be scheduled and executed   Assist the maintenance and tooling team in managing assets across the Osborne shipyard precinct Plan to ensure that the Site Maintenance Manager has visibility of the current and future preventative maintenance inspections for the shipyard Report on the status of asset management system work orders that are open and closed, to assist with any adjustments to stakeholders Liaise with the maintenance team to ensure that there is transparency between all stakeholders, including monthly report-back Input asset data and provide administrative support for the asset management system and maintenance team, providing weekly preventative maintenance schedule reports as required Provide input for the generation of asset management requests, provide triage and allocate work to the correct area/persons Coordinate the facilities helpdesk, input data into the asset management system and provide progress reports to the request owner.
About YOU Trade qualified in an electrical or mechanical discipline Demonstrated experience in a project planning/coordination role Experience working in a shipyard or large production environment Understanding of asset management principals and systems High level of interpersonal skills both written and oral Confident computer skills with use of Microsoft Office We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
