Facilities Senior Planner Full Time | Permanent Salary Range: $76,608 - $103,008 Annually This is a hybrid/telework position. The candidate of choice may work from anywhere within the State of Washington. Travel may be required. This recruitment is open to current DOC employees only. The Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable team member to join the Capital Planning and Development team as the Facilities Senior Planner. This position supports the Capital Assets Administrator in asset preservation and project planning while conducting audits and reports on facility conditions for the purposes of preservation planning for safe and humane corrections facilities.
The candidate of choice will provide consultative services for the development of the Capital Ten-Year Plan, write, review, and submit project requests for the Capital Ten-Year Plan, and provide consultative services for the development of the operations ready list. In addition, you will assist the CPD Environmental Planner 5 in managing sustainability and energy data in CMMS, respond to requests for facility drawings, and manage and maintain as-built archives, both physical and electronic, for completed construction projects.

Conducting statewide asset planning which could look like:Updating capital asset conditions. Performing routine asset condition audits for all capital assets. Following established audit guidelines to create and maintain consistency in condition audits Scheduling asset element actions to meet asset sustainability targets. Working with facility maintenance staff to identify and address asset liabilities. Providing consultative services for statewide capital project planning including:Developing plans to replace or repair asset elements. Enter new projects in project planning software. Reviewing and revise existing projects in project planning software. Use project planning software to generate project lists and reports. Providing technical support for users of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Providing technical support for Capital Planning and Development Team Other duties as assigned What we need (required qualifications): A Bachelor's degree involving major study in architecture, engineering, business or public administration, planning, property or land management, or allied field. AND Four years of qualifying experience in governmental facilities planning or in related field in private industry. OR Eight years of qualifying experience in governmental facilities planning or in related field in private industry. In addition to the above qualifications, the following are required:
Must have High School graduation or GED. Must have 2 years Auto CAD production work experience which can be gained concurrently. Must have advanced level skills in the use of AutoCAD What will make your application stand out (preferred qualifications): Completed 2 years of college-level course work in computer-aided drafting Technical knowledge related to asset planning, design, construction, and operation of correctional institutions. Telework Details This position may be allocated for telework.
