Job DescriptionAbout the opportunity We have an opening for an experienced Facilities and OHS & Wellbeing Manager to join our team in Geelong. This is an ongoing role with hybrid working options available.
Within this role you will provide operational and strategic OH&S advice and assistance to Leaders, ensuring that legislative obligations are met, and to ensure the safety of employees, associates, students, contractors and users of our services.
Additionally, you'll lead the Reception and Facilities team, and will contribute as required to the delivery of all services and functions relating to the GMHBA facilities portfolio. The Facilities and OHS & Wellbeing Manager works in conjunction with stakeholders, including local building management resources, to deliver the end-to-end suite of Facilities management services.
Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout you As the ideal candidate, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
Mandatory OHSW qualifications or working towards (Certificate 4, diploma or degree)A good understanding of health and safety legislative requirements (Victoria)Knowledge of and ability to interpret health & safety legislation, policies and procedures3 + years' experience within operational facilities role ie Facilities Coordinator or similarExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to build strong business relationships, trust and rapportHigh proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook with the capability to learn and operate various Facilities Management online platformsHighly Desirable Diploma of Facilities Management3 years or more experience in a similar roleExperience in ergonomic assessmentsCertificate 4 Workplace Training and AssessmentExperience in emergency management planning and responseReturn to Work (RTW) Certification.If you believe you would be a great fit but don't quite tick all of the boxes we encourage you to apply.
