Qualification relevant to facility management or construction project management, together with relevant experience and proven management expertise.? Develop various facility related policies as required? Annual Contracts for Pest Control, Floor Cleaning, HVAC maintenance etc.Insurance? Work in conjunction with Asset Manager on high level insurance (such as certificate of currency)? Insurance claims for buildings and motor vehicles? Work with Asset Manager on efficiency improvements such as utility costs ? Manage a Key Control System/ Registry in conjunction with the Asset Manager ? Develop and manage a range of systems to increase Council security across allsites. This includes door locks, cameras, security systems and panic buttons.Other Duties, related to the position, as required.Key selection criteriaThe applicant's suitability for this role will be assessed against the following competencies:Selection Criteria 1Demonstrated ability and experience in all facets of facilities management (preferable in a Local Government environment) and be fully conversant in the requirements of the relevant legislation and standards.Selection Criteria 2Project Management knowledge, qualification and/or experience.Selection Criteria 3Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment, establish work priorities and meet deadlines including a sound understanding and commitment to Equal Opportunity and Workplace, Health and Safety principles and practices.Selection Criteria 4Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal with a proven ability to communicate effectively and tactfully in sometimes very sensitive situations as well as a high degree of knowledge of computer programs.Other relevant information?
