A Government department in Kalgoorlie is seeking an experienced Facilities Officer to join the team. This role is being offered on an initial temporary contract until the end of the year, with the possibility of further extension offered should all go well. You will be required to work full-time hours Monday to Friday, and will be paid on an hourly rate. Your New Role
As The Facilities Officer You Will Be Responsible For:
Support with facility management across the region including building security, refurbishments, minor works, building inductions, and contract management. Manage the WHS and emergency situations during and outside of business hours. Develop and maintain the register and database with documented facility services. Support the Asset Branch with asset and fleet management activities. Conduct on-site cleaning inspections on a scheduled basis. Provide front line customer service with internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Need To Succeed
In order to be considered, you will need: Previous experience in building, property, fleet, and facility-related service roles would be seen favourably. Previous experience working in government would be seen favourably. Computer literacy with experience in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Good numeracy and literacy skills. Accurate data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail. The ability to easily adapt to changing and potentially conflicting priorities. Good customer service skills to be able to liaise with staff and contractors. National Police Clearance is essential.
