Innovative Christian tradesperson to lead our Facilities Team in looking after KCC's grounds, buildings and facilities, provide event logistics and guest liaison.Facilities Manager - permanent full-time roleKatoomba Christian Convention seeks an innovative Facilities Manager to lead our Facilities Team to look after KCC's grounds, buildings and facilities, provide event logistics and guest liaison and continue to develop a Christ-centered organisational culture.KCC is an evangelical Christian, not-for-profit organisation that was founded in 1903 and runs large Christian conventions (currently 7 per year, each with over 2000 people). Our scenic Katoomba site is located right next to the Blue Mountains National Park and has 28 acres of bushland, grounds and facilities, accommodating up to 540 people.The Facilities Manager role we are recruiting for is to lead the Facilities Team. The position reports directly to the General Manager and works as part of a Management Team. It would suit a strong evangelical Christian who is a 'people person', trade qualified with a minimum 5 years experience in a management or supervisory role in a trade, maintenance or property area. The position is primarily a "hands-on" role.Summary of key responsibilitiesManage and oversee KCC's facilities (land, buildings, facilities & equipment)Contribute to high quality presentation of KCC's facilities overallEnsure the efficient operation of the centre, including vehicles & equipmentProvide skilled hands-on tradesperson work and all-round trade competencyRespond to urgent repair needs with initiative as they ariseLead KCC's Facilities Team - train, supervise and roster staff and daily workAssess, plan, budget, schedule and carry out preventative maintenance and regular inspections on KCC's facilities as requiredManage/coordinate/supervise contractors and tradespeople as requiredCoordinate, supervise and seek to motivate volunteers to assist with facilities projects and tasksLead renovation projects and capital works programsAs required, be on call and able to respond in the event of an emergency - KCC rosters a site staff member to be on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week in case of an emergency.
