Looking for a Facilities Manager to join our growing food processing facility. This role will play a key part in providing leadership and supervision to the team, working closely with site quality and operations to achieve plant and business goals through a people-first and safety-first approach. The Facilities Manager will take a leading role in ensuring best practice sanitation processes, systems, and support across the facility.
As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supporting key functions across the plant. With rapid production growth at this site, this new position will be essential in supporting our expansion while driving our standards to be the best.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all sanitation operations, both in production and outside, including laundry and PPE management.Supervise sustainability initiatives and special plant projects.Coordinate plant events and guest visits, ensuring smooth operations.Manage site security and grounds maintenance to ensure the facility remains safe and well-maintained.Ensure plant and equipment are properly controlled and serviced, coordinating IT support as necessary.Oversee chemical storage, control, and contractor management.Support Section Managers in their development plans and foster cross-functional collaboration.Lead and direct the Sanitation team, ensuring efficient work practices and providing guidance and support.Ensure pre-operation checks are conducted successfully by implementing best practices.Regularly assess sanitation processes for effectiveness, efficiency, and consistency, making improvements where needed.Proactively identify and address hazards, reporting maintenance concerns and following through on corrective actions.Supervise and manage changes to processes and procedures in alignment with broader operational goals.Collaborate with functional leaders to ensure processes are applied effectively and improvements are realized.Ensure adherence to hazardous chemical usage and safety protocols, including task descriptions and SDS.Oversee isolation and lock-out procedures in accordance with company policies. Ideal Candidate: Proven experience in a similar role, particularly in multi-site or large organizations.Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to perform under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced setting.Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask.Sound planning, organizational, and cost-control skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
