Coordinate property maintenance and repairs to maintain a safe, clean, and productive environment for the customers and staff.DUTIESSupport the delivery of maintenance, including preventative and reactive maintenance.Provide support to execute maintenance programs.Assist with the development and ongoing improvement including roll out of operating procedures.Assist in the preparation of maintenance schedules and coordinate the delivery of site audits.Effectively oversee and manage building annual fire certification reviews.Oversight of all service contracts and project management and supervision of key contractor projects.Provide preventative and reactive maintenance services as required.Assist in the review and updating of building risk assessments and action plans.Plan and coordinate all installations and refurbishments.Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.Inspect building structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.Review utilities consumption and strive to minimise costs.Oversee the Facilities Officers and external contractors and supervise all staff facilities.Control activities like waste disposal, building security etc.Coordinate maintenance including liaising with customers in line with Residential Tenancies Authority requirements and issuing entry notices.ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPSThe position will work across our UQ Res St Lucia sites and will report to the Managing Director.SELECTION CRITERIAEssentialExperience working in site operations in a customer services-based business.Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.Experience in implementation and ongoing management of asset management tools.Ability to undertake multiple varied tasks with a minimum of direct supervision.Proven experience in leading a team, providing best in class customer service.Excellent communication, presentation, organisation skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.DesirableExperience working in hospitality, accommodation, services, hotel, retail industry.Formal qualification in facilities management and/or health and safety.A trades background or relevant tertiary qualification.Experience using Star Rez (Accommodation Booking System).UQ Residences values diversity and inclusion and actively encourages applications from those who bring diversity to UQ Residences.This role is a full-time position based at the St Lucia Campus.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a facilities manager?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?How many years of project management experience do you have?How many years of people management experience do you have?Do you have a current Working With Children (WWC) Check?
