To supervise and coordinate the works of the other facilities officers on the Building Services team, and a willingness to be flexible and provide support skills. This role is responsible for: Perform tasks with a Health, Safety & Environment focus and manage identified risks in a timely manner. Supervise and provide positive support to your team members and associated contractors. Provide direction and oversee works as leading hand to team members and contractors. Engagement, liaison & management of preferred contractors. Mentor staff & lead by example. Foster empathy including effective listening skills. Ability to work autonomously as well as effectively leading a team. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements. Essential Trade certificate in a transferable field. Experience to independently manage small works projects. Strong skills performing hands-on building maintenance and repair work. Trade qualifications and experience in construction industry highly desirable. Competent in use of Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook and Excel at an Intermediate level. Demonstrated knowledge of CEA WHSE Policies and Procedures, and WHS regulations i.e. working in high risk environments, working at heights and confined spaces.
