Working with your team to:Build and manage an Asset Health register.Lead projects for the department.Maintain compliance in PM and Statutory works.Co-ordinate day-to-day reactive breakdowns.Manage Hard and Soft service contract services.This role will also play a leading part in developing/delivering our ESG Roadmap to support our business commitment to reduce carbon emissions.This role you will be responsible to ensure coherence to business objectives within the department whilst ensuring that maintenance is fully functional and operating within all company and sector guidelines (validated states, like for like changes etc.). You will have a combination of office and shop floor-based work, actively involved in breakdowns and driving the management, fast resolve and high standard of fixes whilst also leading, developing, and coaching the Facilities Team to achieve exceptional standards within the department. The Facilities Lead will work hand in hand with all other Leads to communicate, prioritise and direct all technical matters that affect production.Key ResponsibilitiesWorks collaboratively with manufacturing shift leads to prioritise and align labour to manufacturing priorities, to support delivering monthly Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost KPIs.Ensures site assets are compliant through Safety & Quality standards and metrics.Hands-on role with direct leadership of Facilities team for the Deeside site, ensuring maximum visibility of team across site to the factory team.Execute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) driving down machine time loss supporting increased OEE year on year.Drives Facilities compliance through safety & quality and drives team to real Root-Cause through effective analysis.Prioritises data to communicate within the organization - decisions based on actual figures rather than intuition or observation alone.Implement predictive and preventative maintenance techniques and support Autonomous maintenance.Manage planned maintenance execution and ensure 100% compliance.Be hands-on in supporting the Facilities team in breakdowns using skills and experience to guide and deliver.Works with other internal departments to prepare for operational readiness of new and modified installations to ensure safety, reliability, and maintainability of equipment.Coordinate with other factory stakeholders and sites to share practices and improve results.Understand financial metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Works with site leadership to develop and achieve improvement goals.Key RequirementsTime served engineer;Considerable knowledge and experience in manufacturing engineering is essential;Knowledge of control systems, programming and technical fault finding is essential;Expert knowledge in mechanical/electrical and pneumatic systems;Previous experience of improvement projects and leading teams;Experience in a highly regulated maintenance environment is essential;Management experience within a maintenance framework would be a distinct advantage;Must be proficient with PC programs i.e. Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Statistical tools like Minitab or Jump, Project Mgmt (Microsoft Project, etc.), SAP;Self-Motivation and flexibility of job assignments;Blend of leadership and technical skills;Strong interpersonal and written communication skills;Results and data orientated;Driven attitude with the ability to hold high working standards and challenge when required;Must be able to build a strong working relationship with employees on the shop floor.Qualifications/EducationTime served engineer (electrical & mechanical).Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred)Engineering Degree/HNC or higher - similar qualifications will be considered.C&G 2391 inspection and testing/similar qualifications would be advantageous.Principle ContactsInternalDeeside Manufacturing TeamsMaintenanceControlsCI TeamEHSQualityExternalMaterial and service providers as part of improvement opportunitiesHard and Soft Services Contractor servicesWorking ConditionsThe role will be a 50:50 split; Office:ShopfloorSpecial FactorsWorking Monday-Friday, 9am-4.30pm35hrsOur transformation will change your career.
