Good Samaritan Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 College located at Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast. The College opened in 2019 and is steadily growing towards full enrolment of approximately 1500 students. The first seniors will graduate from the College in 2024. Position Summary Good Samaritan Catholic College is seeking a suitably qualified Facilities Administrator and Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) Officer to join our facilities team. The successful candidate would oversee the facilities team at the College and provide support to the Business Manager in implementing and reviewing all WH&S operations at the College.



Key Responsibilities Undertake the duties of Work Health and Safety Officer including attendance at meetings, workshops and professional development sessions. Implement communication and consultation initiatives and awareness of WHS requirements. Consult with management and stakeholders on their schools WHS performance. Assist in the investigation of workplace issues or incidents. Assist in the identification and management of risk. Assist in health and safety consultation activities. Conduct and assist workers to conduct regular health and safety inspections and risk assessments. Investigate health and safety incidents and dangerous events to prevent recurrence. Work with grounds and maintenance staff to ensure that safe and best practices are followed. Monitor and manage items logged on the maintenance portal and coordinate the allocation of internal and external resources for maintenance and repair work. Assist in the development and review of Health and Safety requirements and associated documentation. Provide support for the management and improvement of College buildings, facilities and assets to meet current and future educational needs. Coordinate facility maintenance programs, contractor engagement and procurement of supplies and services. Coordinate the activities of the cleaning contractor ensuring routine compliance with the contract and managing ad-hoc cleaning requirements. Administer and maintain the College key and access systems. Minimum Requirements Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement. Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment. Have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
