The Melbourne Cricket Club manages the Melbourne Cricket Ground, one of Australia's greatest assets. The MCG is host to more than 70 major sports events annually, attracting at least three million patrons and visitors.
A new full time job opportunity has come available for a Facilities Administrator in the Facilities department. The Facilities department is responsible for the management, maintenance and efficient operation of the built environment at the MCG and other MCC-managed sites. The responsibilities of this department include building operations, turf management, repairs and maintenance, cleaning and other technical services, ensuring that events, functions and daily business run smoothly.
The job goal of the Facilities Administrator is to provide proactive and high-quality administrative support to management in this department and other team members as needed. This will involve overseeing diverse initiatives on behalf of the department leaders aimed at enhancing stakeholder value or optimising operations and procedures.
The main responsibilities of this role are to: Provide administration support to the team, which may include responding to emails, phone calls, coordinating meetings and other ad-hoc requests. Plan and coordinate all relevant subcommittee meetings inclusive of MCC Ground subcommittee, Yarra Park Advisory Committee. Manage the diaries of the facilities leadership team which involves organizing appointments and travel arrangements. Co-ordinate bi-monthly department reports for the MCC Committee, Stakeholders and the GM. Update and provide monthly operations budgets for leadership team and run ad hoc reports in QFM asset management system. Manage budgets and ad hoc projects. Assist Facility Management team with creation of tender documentation and assist with the tendering process. To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong and relevant previous experience as team assistant / administrator in a professional environment working for a senior leader and their direct reports. You will have excellent customer service and relationship management skills as well as be technically savvy, with strong Microsoft Office skills across Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. You will have demonstrated maturity of judgment, confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion and have strong attention to detail.
In addition, you will have: Excellent administration and organisational skills. Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, especially with the ability to communicate with a diverse group of people at all levels. Demonstrated ability to develop strong and meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A capability to manage budgets and manage projects with limited supervision. A teamwork approach to departmental needs. Desirable skills: Previous Facilities Management experience desired however not essential.
