Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.We are currently seeking Fabricators/Welders to join Engineering and Fabrication team working on the manufacture of large plate steel structures for the future wood processing mill at our Construction Site. The role is a permanent full time position.The RoleWe are looking for a steel fabricator/welder with trade or post trade experience to join our team based in Mount Gambier. In this position you will be required to complete a wide array of projects ensuring that technical requirements and specifications are met.Responsibilities include:Ability to complete, read and interpret drawings and specifications for projects where requiredSupervise and provide support to apprentices to ensure appropriate training is receivedCoordinate any required resources to complete projects within agreed timeframesEnsuring accuracy and quality of finished workMaintain housekeeping standards, tools and equipmentTo be considered for this position you will:· Completed their qualification and be competent in all aspects of their trade.· Have experience in steel fabrication/welding skills· Have experience working in a busy hands-on environment· Have excellent attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and safety· Ability to interpret detail shop drawings and specifications.· Support and supervise apprentices to ensure appropriate training is received.· Experience working in a busy hands on environment· Enthusiasm and the ability to multi-task· Great communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels.· Maintain housekeeping standards, tools and equipment The following will be considered an advantage, but not essential for this position:· Knowledge in plate fabrication· Basic dogging or rigging certification· Current forklift licence· Hold EWP and Working at Heights certification· Experience operating overhead cranes Your skills and work ethic will be rewarded with excellent working conditions and competitive terms and conditions of employment.As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.Crossmuller is an Equal Opportunity Employer.A Borg Company
