About the Opportunity The Fabrication Supervisor will oversee the Fabrication Capability Department, ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of submarine components. This role involves managing a team of skilled fabricators, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The supervisor will play a critical role in meeting production schedules and supporting the overall mission of the organization.

This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in SA.
Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of fabricators, ensuring optimal performance and development in a complex and dynamic environment.Oversee the fabrication process, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols across multiple projects simultaneously.Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all products meet stringent standards.Facilitate effective communication and coordination between the fabrication team and other departments.About you Trade qualifications in fabrication or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.Demonstrated understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.Strong knowledge of heavy fabrication processes, materials, equipment and experience with quality control and assurance practices.Certification in welding and fabrication techniques (e.g., AWS, ASME) is preferred.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to supervise, lead, manage and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
