Fulfilling the role requires proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, adept prioritisation, task delegation for meeting tight delivery deadlines, and ensuring seamless workshop operations.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following essential criteria:
Effective Communication and Initiative: Demonstrates strong communication skills and exhibits initiative in staff management.Management Experience in Fabrication Workshop: Previous experience in a management role within a fabrication workshop.Trade Qualification: Holds a trade qualification in steel fabrication or mechanical engineering.Leadership and People Management: Capable of leading and managing teams to optimise productivity, creating a safe, equitable, and rewarding workplace.Time Management and Organisational Skills: Exhibits excellent time management and organisational skills to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities.Estimation Experience: Previous experience in estimating works, including structural steel and general fabrication, would be advantageous.Comprehensive Fabrication & Design Knowledge: Possesses a thorough understanding of fabrication and design principles & have advanced light fabrication skill set & the ability to work on the tools.Commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental Management: Demonstrates an overriding commitment to health, safety, and environmental management.Certifications: Holds a C Class manual Drivers Licence.
