They must showcase successful leadership in diverse teams, coupled with a passion for career success. Essential qualities include advanced fabrication skills, client interaction experience, effective communication, a positive team attitude, and autonomy in work.
Fulfilling the role requires proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, adept prioritisation, task delegation for meeting tight delivery deadlines, and ensuring seamless workshop operations.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following essential criteria:
Effective Communication and Initiative: Demonstrates strong communication skills and exhibits initiative in staff management.Management Experience in Fabrication Workshop: Previous experience in a management role within a fabrication workshop.Trade Qualification: Holds a trade qualification in steel fabrication or mechanical engineering.Leadership and People Management: Capable of leading and managing teams to optimise productivity, creating a safe, equitable, and rewarding workplace.Time Management and Organisational Skills: Exhibits excellent time management and organisational skills to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities.Estimation Experience: Previous experience in estimating works, including structural steel and general fabrication, would be advantageous.Comprehensive Fabrication & Design Knowledge: Possesses a thorough understanding of fabrication and design principles & have advanced light fabrication skill set & the ability to work on the tools.Commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental Management: Demonstrates an overriding commitment to health, safety, and environmental management.Certifications: Holds a C Class manual Drivers Licence. MR/HR Licence would be advantageous.Benefits:
