We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fabrication and Maintenance Technician to join our team.
The primary objective of the role is to provide engineering (fabrication) support for the design and fabrication of new implements, the modification of existing implements, and the maintenance and repair of plant and equipment.
As a member of our team at our Fitzroy Macadamia operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that engineering and maintenance activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in adherence to environmental and workplace standards.

Key Responsibilities: As a valued member of the team and reporting to Maintenance Supervisor, you will: Ensure that company assets are appropriately protected, maintained and replaced as necessary Conduct maintenance of plant and machinery Assist with the design, development, modification, manufacture and installation of existing and new plant and equipment to facilitate the continuous improvement of farming operations Contribute to the development and maintenance of workshop and maintenance systems and safety processes Lead and act in a safe and environmentally sound manner adhering to all relevant policies and procedures Ensure safe operations in workplace areas of responsibility, reporting any unsafe act or condition, and implementing steps within control to remedy Act as a role model by demonstrating precise and safe work behaviours and reinforcing policies and procedures Contribute to a positive and productive working environment by being respectful, precise, diligent, honest, and ethical To be successful for this position, you will have: Certificate III or higher in an Engineering trade (mechanical and/or metal fabrication) Driver's licence (C class) Forklift, crane, loader, rigger and dogger licence/ticket preferred Experience working within an agricultural operation including with farm irrigation systems and equipment preferred Proven ability to work independently in a farm workshop environment, with strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a goal-driven approach to planning and prioritisation Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to interpret legislation and collaborate effectively with diverse teams across multiple farms On offer for the successful candidate is a competitive above Award rate, based on experience and qualifications.
