ABOUT THE ROLE
As our next superstar Supports Specialist in SDA Onsite Shared Supports, you will be managing & coordinating the support provision of our disability support services to our valued QSSS Clients living in two of our Gold Coast sites - Signature Broadbeach & Marine Quarter Southport.
This role is extremely Client-focused and involves ensuring both Onsite Shared Supports & In-Home Supports are delivered to our Clients living in these sites and in the wider Gold Coast Region.
You will achieve this by recruiting, rostering and managing teams of Support Workers while partnering with Clients to deliver supports exactly the way they wish supports to be provided.
You will expand our ability to take on more new Clients as we continue to offer our uniquely simple model of disability support to more and more people.
With one day working from home & 4 days working between the Southport & Broadbeach offices, this role is extremely varied so the ability to work autonomously, prioritise workload and work well under pressure is key and is best suited to someone who is self – motivated and thrives on variety in their work.
We especially want to hear from those who are versed in the intricacies of NDIS Onsite Shared Supports / Concierge Models, Participant plans and funding, and those who have experience in working in the disability industry as a whole.
Experience in recruiting, leading and managing teams is a key still for this role.
Most importantly though, we are looking for a decent human being who has initiative, common sense, personality and a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of people with a disability.
The ideal Supports Specialist is someone who loves helping people, is extremely proficient in verbal and written communication, is tech savvy, can establish routines to work efficiently through a variety of daily tasks and loves collaborating & working with a high performing team.
We need people who can problem solve, think on the fly, are able to make wise decisions and are extremely adaptable (if you need a flow chart to do your job, this may not be the opportunity for you).

Salary is $91,295.00 plus Superannuation
Hours: Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm acknowledging though that disability doesn't have start / finish time.
We need to be flexible to the needs of Clients when needs arise.
Location: 2 days working from Signature Broadbeach OSS Office , 2 days working from Marine Quarter Apartments Southport OSS Office & 1 day working from home or the office (days can be flexible, ultimately aim to set this up for you to be as productive & effective as possible)
Reporting to: QSSS Lead Support Specialist as part of our QSSS Leadership Team
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES…
Mandatory: Be a decent, caring and supportive human who understands that a Client is the decision maker and the expert in their support needs … and you are the expert in making it happen
Have experience in the disability industry, ideally in the dissemination and application of Participant's NDIS plans, including SDA & OSS funding models
Coordination of supports for our Clients and ensure their needs are met.
Recruitment of Support Workers to be part of the Client's unique and hand picked team to ensure Client needs are met
Partner with Clients & to ensure their support needs are met
You are a leader and as such you will be expected to support, educate and lead Support Workers in their responsibilities and accountabilities in providing person centred / Client directed supports by holding regular Team Meetings, Tenancy Meetings & Support Worker Supervision
You will be key in building and maintain meaningful local relationships with Clients, the wider community and relevant stakeholders
Complete all relevant Client administrative tasks such as but not limited to; Client Profiles, Support Plans, Client Rosters, Data Collection and Reporting, Risk Assessments, PEEP's, Applicant Phone Screenings, Addressing Client Complaints and Feedback.
And of course work and within the clearly defined NDIS Guidelines, QSSS Protocols, Expectations and Values
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU MUST
Have experience in applying NDIS Participant plans to OSS models or similar NDIS experience
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with people of all backgrounds and demographics

Be relatable, reliable and show high quality rapport building abilities
Excellent attention to detail
Able to work in a position of trust and autonomy and the ability to make wise decisions utilising your existing skills and initiative to find solutions to complex problems

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Emails and PowerPoint essential
QLD Drivers licence & vehicle for transport
