Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced F5 Specialist. This is a 12-month contract open to Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. The role is available for Australian citizens with an active NV1 clearance.
12-month contractOpen for Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, and BrisbaneAustralian citizen with NV1 clearanceHybrid role (3 days in office and 2 days WFH)Paxus pays weeklyAs the F5 Specialist, you will use your in-depth knowledge of specific ICT Platforms to provide expert advice on the management and maintenance of those platforms. You will work closely with key third-party suppliers to ensure the provision of a robust gateway infrastructure capability for the business and liaise with architecture and shared services areas to ensure the security of day-to-day technical operations.
To be successful in this role, you must:
Plan and manage infrastructure requirements to meet future demands and ensure the provision of operational support for hardware, software, and other assets.Define effective procedures for prioritisation and escalation of infrastructure issues to ensure timely resolution and communicate end-to-end implications of configuration changes.Analyse the quality of requests for change management and provide detailed, specialist technical advice, including strategic advice to the Executive where appropriate.Proactively share knowledge and expertise as the subject matter expert, and provide assistance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues.Develop and implement standards, strategies, operational policies, procedures, and change initiatives.Develop staff capability through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.Oversee, review, and advise on a range of technical documentation including design documentation, implementation plans, test plans, and support procedures.Negotiate, engage, and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders to build service delivery capability, drive innovation, continuous improvement, and manage and lead change.To be considered for this role, you must have:
Demonstrated expertise in deploying, configuring, and a deep understanding of F5 AWAF Solutions.Knowledge of F5 products including LTM, GTM, ASM, ALM, and APM.Deep understanding of web application architecture, protocols, and security technologies including TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, IPSec, VPN, and DDoS protection.Demonstrated working knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), and cookie poisoning.Proficient scripting and programming skills to configure advanced policies and rules in F5 AWAF.Proficient knowledge of NGFW, preferably Palo Alto, and IPS concepts and features.When inquiring about this role, please quote the job number #267401.
