The Position The Racing Integrity Commissioner is an independent statutory office holder established under the Racing Act 1958. Appointed by the Governor in Council, the Racing Integrity Commissioner reports to Parliament through the Minister for Racing. The Commissioner's role is to provide independent oversight of integrity across thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing to enable public confidence in the integrity of the Victorian Racing Industry.
Capabilities and experience sought Significant experience in leading regulatory systems, investigations, compliance and intelligence analysis.Demonstrated capacity to establish trusting relationships with the industry and its participants whilst maintaining the independence necessary for such an office.Demonstrated capability in leading, motivating and developing a team of skilled professionals, promoting a respectful and engaged workforce in the delivery of major policy initiatives.Highly developed stakeholder management skills and media experience.A fixed term contract applies negotiable to 5 years and remuneration is aligned to Public Entity Senior Executive Service - Level 2.
