With a staff of over 200 our laboratories are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and with Client Service Offices located in Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle and Wollongong.
Multiple full time permanent positions available based in Dandenong South, VIC for early 2025 commencement.Morning (8am - 4pm), Afternoon (2pm - 10pm) and Night (8pm - 4am) shifts available along with potential weekend shifts.
*Cover letter must highlight shift preference and availability.An extra 1.5% superannuation paid on top of standard national super rate.Graduates / entry level applicants welcome to apply!Reporting to the Team Leader, the Laboratory Technician will primarily be responsible for sample preparation and analysis.
Key accountabilities will include but are not limited to:
Receiving and sorting water samples, assigning tests in accordance with the ELVIS database and preparing batch sheets on Microsoft Excel.Extracting analytes from water / soil samples as directed by the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).Combining water extractions, concentrating the solution and vialing in accordance with the SOP.Ensuring traceability of samples prepared or vialed.Performing quality control tests.Prioritising samples accordingly as per turnaround times (urgent samples).Discarding waste in accordance with safety and environmental considerations.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will obtain the following:
