Expression of interest – Non-Executive DirectorUNE Life is a wholly owned, not-for-profit entity of the University of New England independently governed by a Board of Directors and managed by a CEO. We are a business dedicated to enhancing the experience of our students, staff and community through the provision of quality and innovative service both on-campus and off-campus in the wider Armidale community.UNE Life Pty Ltd is seeking expressions of interest from a suitably qualified and experienced person interested in a Non-Executive Board member role. This person will need to have exceptional governance experience in leading an organisation with multiple service offerings, a high level of business acumen and strategic oversight for an initial three-year term.UNE Life is governed by an independent Board of Directors and supports the vision and strategy of the University of New England. UNE Life is a not-for -profit business dedicated to enhancing the experience of our university students, both on-campus and off-campus, staff and the wider New England community through exceptional and people-focused services.UNE Life has an active Board and a dedicated management team lead by a strong CEO which has resulted in the successful delivery of services and event management to the University and Armidale. There is potential for growth and the Board is seeking nominations from persons who are passionate about the University of New England and the value of higher education generally, who are high standing in the community and who have experience and skills in government and business which will contribute to the functions of UNE Life Board.There are typically five Board meetings held each year and Directors can generally expect to travel to Armidale at least once or twice a year. The NED role is a paid position with the amount to be determined by the Board.
