Our Team From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of solutions to provide dynamic Air Traffic Services to support today's growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence.
This will enable a new level of safety and efficiency, while also reducing delays for the travelling public and providing opportunities to improve environmental outcomes. OneSKY will transform Australia's sky and we are proud to be partners in its delivery.
Your role Due to potential upcoming scope of work, we are seeking Expressions of Interest for an Instructional Designer.
The Instructional Designer is responsible for the design and development of materials used in training activities relating to Air Traffic Control and associated support systems.
You will develop training resources to support the training team in the implementation of contemporary, effective and engaging teaching methodologies such as blended learning, active learning, and training and assessment.
Some key accountabilities include Produce Computer Based Training content utilising Adobe Captivate. Support key training design and development activities including curriculum development, Training Management Plan design and development and Training Delivery Readiness Reviews. Influence the development of relevant technical and operational training and assessment solutions to ensure training remains consistent with product development baselines and best practice. Participate in the development and maintenance of training and assessment materials and solutions in accordance with configuration baselines and Thales / Customer expectations. Develop and facilitate the training evaluation process leading to the continuous improvement of training and training products. Monitor and control all training costs under their direct control to ensure any project budget is not exceeded. On day one you will come with experience in: Extensive prior experience in developing sophisticated Computer Based Training using Adobe Captivate. Demonstrated record of successfully designing, delivering and development of effective online learning experiences and SCORM-packaged eLearning resources which build upon instructional theory and best practice. Experience defining learning outcomes and designing curriculum. Experience with graphic design, video and sound editing to deliver high quality instructional videos and images within learning materials. Experience developing training and assessment solutions to be deployed within a Learning Management System environment. Demonstrated skills in managing complex online learning projects to successful delivery. Substantial knowledge of adult learning principles and concepts, evaluation and continuous improvement.
