About the Program Initiated in July 2024, Climate Resilient Communities (CRC) aims to ensure people in the Indo-Pacific are more resilient to climate change and disasters.

Led by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), CRC supports implementation of Australia's climate change commitments and International Development Policy, in line with partner government priorities.
CRC incentivises funding towards inclusive climate and disaster resilience programming, with a focus on the water, food, and energy sectors.
It does this by increasing climate investments, driving climate integration, and better addressing climate and disaster risk across Australia's development portfolio.

DT Global has been engaged by DFAT to support implementation of CRC.

About the Role CRC is recruiting gender equality, disability equity, and social inclusion consultants to join its GEDSI Panel.
Panel members provide high quality technical gender equality, disability equity, and social inclusion advice on climate program activities and plans at the regional or country level, with DFAT staff, partner governments, and CRC implementing partners.

A range of opportunities arise for consultants on the Panel.
Consultants with experience working in the Indo-Pacific, with all levels of experience are encouraged to apply, including early career.

About You CRC is looking to engage consultants with skills, expertise, and experience in the following areas:
Gender-climate nexusDisability-climate nexusDisability equity and rights in climate and disaster resilienceClimate changeDisaster Risk ReductionEnding violence against womenCrisis services and response in disaster situationsWomen's economic empowermentValue chain analysis and Market Systems DevelopmentWomen's leadership and decision makingCivil society organisation capacity strengtheningGender responsive monitoring, evaluation, and learningResearchDesign and design reviewsConducting scoping and feasibility studiesGender-sensitive infrastructureCommunity development and local stakeholder engagementIndo-Pacific GEDSI experience (including LGBTQIA+)Working with women's rights organisationsLocally led and/or First Nations approaches to GEDSI Selection Criteria Experience working on international development programsExperience living and/or working in countries where DFAT implements development programsFamiliarity with DFAT requirementsUnderstanding and commitment to gender equality, disability equity and rights, social inclusionExcellent verbal and written communications skillsHighly developed stakeholder engagement and management skills (early career people will be encouraged and supported to develop these skills)Ability to work in teams - cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary, in person and virtually, and with diverse levels of experienceProven ability to develop capacity of others and share knowledge and learningCommitment to professional development, including continuous learning and upskilling, as needed.Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant or related fields of expertiseTechnical capacity and expertise of relevant professional experience in the Indo-PacificAbility and self-initiative to carry out assigned tasks in a team under minimal supervision as well as an individual on a specific assignment. Engagement & Remuneration Successful candidates will be placed on the panel managed by DT Global and contracted through a Deed of Standing Offer.
Opportunities will be made available to members on an as-needed basis, and panel members will be invited to quote for opportunities (depending on the requirements of the task).
Each time a consultant on the Panel is offered an assignment, a services order will be signed outlining the terms of the assignment.
