Expression of InterestEvent Permit Officer (Libraries, Arts and Events)Temporary (4 days a week - From Wednesday 18 December until 14 February 2025)Band 4 - $70,961.52 - $74,866.87 per annum (pro rata) + superannuationThe Festivals & Events team is looking for a vibrant Event Permit Officer to deliver consistent and exceptional service to both internal and external customers. You will be responsible for the administration of Event Permits and open space bookings.Key aspects of the role include:Provide high-quality customer service and accurate information to potential customers wishing to stage an event in the City via various channels.Strong administration skills including booking system management, documentation & fortnightly reports to internal stakeholders.Liaising with various teams within the organisation to determine additional permits & requirements.Permit assessment and issuing for small to medium events & bookings, including consult & referral to the Major Event Permit Officer where required.Provide administration and technical support to the team in relation to event permits and the broader deliverables of the unit, including site visits and logistical support out-of-hours.To be successful, the right candidate will build a strong relationship with the Major Event Permit Officer through a collaborative approach, an understanding of Council's Events in Public Spaces policy, effective customer service, and strong administration skills.If you are interested in this opportunity, please speak with your supervisor prior to submitting an application.
