Purpose of the Role

Xodus are seeking early and mid-career environmental consultants with experience in marine industries looking to build a track record in project management and environmental approvals. These roles (either full or part time) provide opportunities to work across multiple industries and topic opportunities and work and develop within a supportive and friendly team environment.

Our team is made up of both seasoned and emerging experts in technical receptor topics, alongside industry specialists and regulatory leads. We also cherish the wide array of technical, project, and interpersonal skills that our environmental consultants bring to the table. Your unique talents will contribute significantly to our energy projects, ensuring we deliver excellent results every time.
We are seeking environmental consultants with relevant experience in the marine industry and/or energy sector. Our ideal colleagues would be familiar with the Commonwealth process and knowledge/experience of the role of NOPSEMA and the OIR in offshore environmental approvals.
Requirements Engaging in the process of securing environmental approvals for diverse marine energy and coastal projects, such as oil and gas operations, offshore wind initiatives, interconnectors, cables, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and decarbonization efforts, while providing strategic guidance and liaising with regulators. Fostering stakeholder and client relationships for various projects, while staying abreast of the latest industry standards and best practices. Creating high-quality reports and presentations that effectively communicate our findings and recommendations. Collaborating with specialists in ecology and engineering to deliver comprehensive multidisciplinary projects. Qualifications & Experience Having knowledge or practical experience in exciting fields such as fish ecology, ornithology, marine mammals, or industries like oil and gas, offshore wind, carbon capture and storage (CCS), or underwater cables. Showcasing a strong background in a consulting setting or highlighting transferable skills that are relevant. Motivated by the desire to achieve better environmental outcomes for major capital projects, both onshore and offshore. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities. Eager to listen and learn, prioritising understanding over merely hearing, while generously sharing insights and experiences with others. A strong enthusiasm for contributing to a diverse work environment. Keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence. Highly organised, with effective time management skills.
