Gold Fields' mining assets in the Australia region include a 100% interest in the St Ives, Agnew and Granny Smith mines and a 50:50 interest in the Gruyere JV project with Gold Road Resources. St Ives Gold Mine is located 20km south-east of Kambalda and approximately 80 km south of Kalgoorlie. It is comprised of both open pit and underground operations and produces over 350,000 ounces of gold per annum. About the role: Extensive fieldwork including working remotely and independently on drill rigs to ensure drill programs are completed efficiently and effectively; Comprehensive geological and structural logging of Diamond Core and RC/AC chips; Section and map updates with drilling information; Digital input and validation of logging information; Sample selection for analysis; QAQC planning and evaluation; Daily liaising with drill contractors, tracking of drilling and sample dispatch; Working with geological and geophysical datasets to assist in interpretation of drilling results. About you: Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology (honours preferred) Previous exploration experience in orogenic gold systems is highly desirable Valid manual Driver's Licence Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and exposure to relevant GIS, database and 3 D software highly regarded Be self-driven and motivated to learn new skills and develop yourself as a professional Geologist Applications can be submitted via: Gold Fields is committed to achieving an inclusive workforce.
