We are currently recruiting for an Exploration Geologist that wants to take their geological capability to the next level and apply their skills to a wide range of geological challenges and opportunities.

As a member of the Centennial Technical Team, you will collaborate with skilled professionals across technical, development and financial fields.
You will also have the opportunity to enhance your career through additional training and qualifications.

This role is based at Centennial's Angus Place corporate office near Lithgow, with occasional travel to operational sites in the Lake Macquarie and Lithgow region.

Reporting to the Geoservices Manager - Exploration, your responsibilities will include:
Directly project manage the day-to-day exploration drilling for Centennial's western sites and projects Prepare capital approval applications, exploration budgets, and the necessary land disturbance permits for preparing exploration sites Ensure timely update of Centennial exploration database (acQuire) with newly obtained exploration data Complete core analysis such as geotechnical logging, lithological logging, coal sampling, point load testing, CMRR calculation, Q1 gas desorption testing Assist mine geologists on occasion with mine site geological work and provide general technical services assistance for sites including mentoring of geologists and graduates Centennial is offering:

Tertiary Qualifications in Geology or Earth Sciences Minimum 3 years previous experience working as an Exploration Geologist Sound computer literacy skills and proficiency in geological data management Experience working with geological logging software Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within team environments Strong work ethic and commitment to site safety, operational practices, and mine production targets Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal About Centennial
