Front End Engineer React Wfh | Expertech | Australia
For a digital client of Expertech, we are currently seeking a Lead Front End Developer specializing in React to work on various digital web projects.
This React role is a senior engineering position where candidates need to have full exposure across the end-to-end software development life cycle.
Job Responsibilities Own the frontend deliverables of allocated projects Develop high-quality, responsive, and scalable web applications using the latest technologies Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, plan, and deliver user-centric solutions Drive the development process and ensure adherence to coding standards, software development best practices, and quality guidelines while being on the tools when required Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in frontend development Work with project managers to estimate project timelines, identify risks and dependencies, and manage project delivery Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement Assist the Head of Frontend Technology in realizing the Frontend Team goals Ad hoc duties where required Qualifications BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent 7+ years of work experience 7+ years of experience working in React or similar frameworks, with strong JavaScript knowledge Experience in Node.js as a backend framework is a plus Proficient in writing testable code using Jest or similar frameworks Proficiency in HTML and CSS frameworks like Tailwind or similar Experience working with microservice architectures Experience using Azure DevOps, JIRA, or a similar tool in an Agile-Scrum framework Experience in working in Agile and Scrum teams Experience developing for CMS and Commerce systems at the enterprise level Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions Proficient understanding of accessibility tools and delivering WCAG accessible solutions Ability to mentor other developers of various skill levels Although the preference for this role is for React Engineers to live in Sydney, this role is WFH and can be worked from anywhere in Australia.
