The Risk, Data and Insight Systems (RDIS) Branch is seeking two experienced Senior Business Analysts to contribute to high-priority projects for the Department, Australian Border Force, and National Emergency Management Agency.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering critical capabilities and solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic planning, mapping, and modeling development.
Lead gap analysis to assess existing capabilities against future visualization needs.
Develop the solution blueprint for a future visualization capability.
Communicate business needs to stakeholders at various levels (enterprise, program, operational, and project).
Prioritize business requirements with stakeholders to enhance overall business efficacy.
Manage multiple complex projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
Present comprehensive business information to facilitate solution design and application support.
Collaborate with stakeholders to devise innovative solutions to business challenges.
Foster effective working relationships characterized by ethics, trust, and organization.
Lead or participate in teams to achieve designated outcomes, requiring both team leadership and technical leadership skills.
Organize and facilitate workshops to extract and define business requirements and processes.
Document new and existing business practices clearly and ensure stakeholder agreement and sign-off.
Deliverables: Create workflows, events, and sequencing diagrams.
Develop high-level and detailed business requirements documents.
Prepare functional and non-functional specifications, defect resolution specifications, and technical specifications.
Formulate risk management plans and requirements management plans.
Produce use case models and specifications.
Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst, ideally within a government or large organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with various stakeholders.
