SN Services is a rapidly growing, dynamic and nurse-owned company. We are a complex care organisation delivering high acuity care in people's homes, we are also a Registered Training Organisation under the SN Training banner.
We are currently seeking an experienced Trainer and Assessor to deliver nationally recognised first aid training and manual handling to both internal staff and external clients and to assess competencies of internal staff with non-accredited in-house training.
This would be a fixed term 12-month contract with flexible working arrangements across a seven-day working week of 37.5 hours, including some evening work.
Skills Required Highly developed clinical skills and experience in general and paediatric nursing
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to initiate and maintain contacts with team members, clients, and other service providers.
Able to work autonomously
A sensitive and empathetic approach to working with individuals living with a disability and their families.
Previous experience working with people with complex care needs, desirable.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
Friendly and engaging personality.
Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
Tasks include: Delivering and assessing training programs in accordance with training package requirements units of competency
Engaging and encouraging students in classroom training
Sharing your knowledge and skills in your area of expertise
Adopting innovative learning strategies to enable students to achieve the relevant qualification
Assessing staff within the client's home
Qualifications required: TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its replacement.
Statement of Attainment with HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.
Statement of Attainment with HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support.
Statement of Attainment with HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Statement of Attainment with HLTWHS005 - Conduct manual tasks safely
Registered nurse with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency).
Minimum 2-3 years' experience as an RN with experience in both Adults and Paediatrics or Community care
NDIS Worker Screening Check
A current Working with Children Check
NDIS relevant Modules obtained certificate of completion or willingness to obtain
Demonstrated knowledge of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's current codes and guidelines.
