EXPERIENCED SUPPORT WORKERTo be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have demonstrated experience in providing support to participants with disabilities. Candidate Requirements: Certificate III in disability or equivalent.Experience within the industry of disability support is desirable.Clear and effective communication skills and the ability to establish a professional relationship with participants and their families.Attention to detail and accuracy in record management.Australian driver's license & own car with fully comprehensive insurance.NDIS Worker Screening and NDIS Orientation Modules necessary.First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration training or willing to obtain.Flexibility to work over a 7-day, 24-hour roster and the availability to work overnight shifts or attend training or meetings as required.Demonstrated commitment to human rights-based, person-centered support practices.Demonstrated experience with positive behavior support practices.Resilient and positive outlook.This role will suit a candidate with the following skills and experience: An ability and commitment to work as part of a team to support people within a residential environment.Demonstrated skills and experience in working effectively with intellectual disability, mental health concerns, and other complex problems associated with clients' complexities.A demonstrated ability to work autonomously, including applying conflict resolution skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as a high level of mediation, negotiation, interpersonal and liaison skills.Capacity to fulfill reporting and administrative requirements associated with the position.Undertake all necessary NDIS checks including Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening.Employer questions
