Experienced Orthoptist

An exciting opportunity exists for a full-time orthoptist to join our busy ophthalmology practice located in Norwest.
Our team consists of 15 Ophthalmologists, a Practice Manager, Orthoptists, and reception staff, and we are seeking an orthoptist to become a valued and important part of our friendly team.
The primary objective of this position is to provide support to our ophthalmologists and assist in the clinic's running smoothly.
As you will be the first point of clinical contact for our patients, you will possess a professional and caring attitude.
Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

Clinical assessment of patients prior to them seeing the ophthalmologist. This includes taking patient medical and ocular history.
Perform diagnostic testing including A-scans, Visual fields, OCTs, FFA, and fundus photography.
Assist with minor procedures and intravitreal injections.
Manage surgical lists.
Stocking of rooms and sterilisation.
Assist with administration duties as required.

Skills/Experience required:

Have a friendly professional manner.
Able to work proactively with all team members.
Have excellent time management, priority management, and problem-solving skills.
Have the ability to learn quickly and be adaptable.
Excellent listening skills.
Be able to multitask.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in orthoptics and ophthalmic assessment.
