We do this by hiring exceptionally talented, inspiring lawyers who are passionate about mentoring and coaching our lawyers of the future.We are now seeking an inspiring and experienced Lawyer in the ACT/NSW to join our dedicated team of Mentors on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract.The successful candidate will supervise and support the development of law graduates undertaking the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) and support the promotion of Leo Cussen programs.Specifically, the role of a Lawyer Mentor involves:The practical legal training and the development of law graduates by both practice supervision and direct teaching in the GDLP;In collaboration with the Head of Education Delivery and other staff, the development and promotion of Leo Cussen programs;The administration of those programs as required.Essential qualifications, skills, and attributes are:Tertiary qualification in law and eligibility to practise law in the ACT and NSWMinimum 5 years legal practice experience in at least two of the practice areas taught in the GDLP and specified by the National Competency StandardsSkills in the use of technology in learningHighly developed interpersonal and communication skillsCollaborative and collegiate work styleEducational and/or training qualifications and demonstrated workplace coaching and mentoring ability are desirable but not essential.
