Full Time Construction Material Testing | Lab - Field Technician

We provide quality testing services that underpin the design, construction, and safety of some of Australia's most iconic and important infrastructure projects. Due to unprecedented success, our business is continually growing and we are looking to engage Experienced Technicians to grow with us! 
Our Brisbane laboratory (Located in Wacol) is currently seeking Experienced Laboratory Technicians (Construction Materials Testing) with a keen interest in quality service, working as part of a team, ongoing development, and the opportunity to complete company-funded formal training (Certificate to Advanced Diploma level).
About the Role As an Experienced Laboratory Technician you will be committed to providing a quality service to our clients and to working within a team environment alongside industry experts and Trainees. You will work under the guidance and support of the Laboratory Manager. The position will require you to undertake both field and laboratory testing across our full scope of accreditation for materials testing in accordance with AS1289, DTMR, AS1012 & AS1141. This will also need to be done in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and the company policy & procedures.
From preparing samples in the laboratory to testing on major infrastructure projects to managing a laboratory, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of integrity, diligence, and high performance, as we understand the critical role that materials testing plays in ensuring successful construction outcomes. Our clients trust us to provide them with the peace of mind they need to manage construction risk effectively.
Duties required of the role, include: Performing a range of hands-on tasks both in the field and laboratory, which involve sampling,  preparing, and testing soil, aggregates, and concrete.Communicating directly with clients in a professional manner to coordinate testing, procedures, and reporting of results.Adhering to industry standards (AS1289, DTMR, AS1012 & AS1141) to ensure that all testing is conducted in accordance with established guidelines.Conducting regular quality assurance checks and calibrations, meticulously maintaining equipment to uphold accuracy and reliability.Ensuring accurate testing and efficient reportingTo be successful in this role, you will ideally possess: 2+ years' experience in laboratory and field testing in soils, aggregates and/or concrete to relevant standards (AS1289, AS1141, AS1012, DTMR)Current Australian Driver's licenceSound level of computer skills (including Microsoft Office)Capable of undertaking physical work and lifting heavy loads for extended periods (repeatably)Commitment to quality and safetyExcellent communication and time management skillsCurrent NDM Radiation licence (preferred but not necessary)Ability to pass drug and alcohol screeningNuclear Gauge Licence - advantageousWhy Geotechnical Services?
