Headquartered in Nowra, New South Wales, QinetiQ Air Affairs, part of QinetiQ's Threat Representation business unit, provides targets and training services, and electronic warfare capabilities to the Australian Defence Force, in addition to aerial surveillance and reconnaissance in support of government firefighting efforts.
Air Affairs owns and operates a fleet of special mission aircraft and maintains an advanced manufacturing and engineering facility providing design, manufacture and certification operations.
We are currently looking for an experienced King Air Pilot (B200) to join our Bushfire and flood-mapping reconnaissance teams based in Jandakot (WA).
As an experienced senior King Air pilot you will be responsible for deploying the aircraft and an infrared line scanner operator into an operational environment searching for and mapping fire and flood areas.
Liaising with government agencies and emergency services you will be responsible for ensuring the aircraft completes its required tasks.
As a Senior King Air Pilot your day to day role will see you; Support the delivery of the contract and supporting our pilot team Be available for on call (short notice 1 – 2 hrs) deployment Captain the B200 King Air in support of Aerial Survey Mapping Respond to requests of your scanning operator and on-ground support services Collaborate with your team to plan and deliver the mission Travel to country areas that may include overnight stays What you will bring; A minimum of 2000 hrs At least 1500 hrs of PIC time and 500 hrs of Multi Engine time Recent experience of single pilot operations and at least 500 hrs in the B200 A current CPL A current class 1 medical Excellent communication skills What you will receive; A permanent flying opportunity with ongoing training  A career opportunity within a global defence company A role that will see you take part in unique aviation experiences To be considered for this role you will need; To be located within 0.5 - 1hr of Jandakot Airfield A willingness to work on call at short notice on a year round roster High levels of awareness and a safety first attitude Experience of aerial survey projects in potentially challenging terrain If you have any questions about the role or would like to know more please contact Ruth Harrison – Talent Acquisition Specialist – 07 3031 0233 or email ****** Looking for an Employer with Benefits?
