Job Connect is officially partnered with Mapei Australia – a Global, Market Leader of Adhesives in the Building Industry, to source an experienced Human Resources Advisor with demonstrated skills in end to end Human Resources and Employee Relations in the Wacol area. This role is ideal for a professional who possesses a firm grip on the fundamentals of Human Resources with practical experience. Your experience will be trusted; as such you will be given latitude to exercise your practiced skills in end to end Human Resources and Employment/Industrial Relations on key projects and initiatives, make your mark!
Ideal applicants will possess: Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Management or equivalent/related discipline. At least 6 years demonstrated experience working in an HR Advisory capacity with strong practical and technical grounding - due to the direction of the role, strong foundations of practical initiation of HR policies and initiatives as well as HR technical knowledge will be required from commencement. Intermediate IT skills, full Microsoft Suite, HRIS, Oracle HR & Compensation, Payroll (view and reporting), eLearning, SharePoint are all preferable and will strengthen your application - the more, the better! Experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or Manufacturing will be highly regarded. Experience in collaborating with operational and administrative teams to achieve goals or outcomes. Well-developed time management, interpersonal and written skills to carry out projects across teams and liaise with a range of varied employees to achieve goals. Experience in Project design and rollouts highly regarded. Your potential achievements: Your main function will be responsible to collaborate across key business streams to provide Employment/Industrial Relations, HR Process and Operational advice to not only maintain legal compliance but ensure the company attains the best outcomes through key decisions, initiatives and challenges in relation to its people.
Key tasks will include: Advising key business contacts in business units to provide guidance on legislative and policy changes, systems and key people management issues. Supporting the business with key HR processes and initiatives in talent management, employee engagement and retention, performance management and policy review. Provide specialist advice on Acts, Regulations, Awards, Industrial Agreements, Legislation and their effect on current/future Policies and Procedures. Be responsible and resourced to deliver smooth and compliant onboarding and induction processes. Supporting the business in developing current policies and procedures that are aligned to best practice within a human resource setting. Assisting with key Projects within the HR Team.
